HealthSmart Announces the Integration of Ohio’s Emerald Health Network with Its Nationwide Preferred Network

IRVING, TX (May, 2011) — HealthSmart is proud to announce that the Emerald Health Network (EHN) in Ohio has been renamed “HealthSmart Preferred Network, Inc.” effective May 1, 2011. This rebranding is a vital step toward HealthSmart’s goal of fully integrating its network products and improving provider access in Ohio markets.

During the next 12 months, two additional HealthSmart networks, Interplan Health Group, Inc. (“IHG”) and Preferred Plan, Inc. (“PPI”), will merge into the HealthSmart Preferred Care network. This will result in a national, seamless, and integrated PPO network serving Group Health, Workers Compensation, Auto Medical and Dental plans.
