Aetna Dental Administrators

Through our relationship with Cofinity, HealthSmart offers the Aetna Dental Administrators program, which is powered by the Aetna Dental Access® network. The dental network expands across all 50 states including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Of the nearly 88,000 available dental practice locations, 67,901 are general dentists and 20,658 are specialists.

The good news is all offices are taking new patients. Plus, Aetna has set standards to help members with timely office visits and 24/7 emergency care access. Note: Plan design must be PPO-based, not Indemnity. Other restrictions may apply, please contact your HealthSmart representative for complete details.

Dental Preferred Provider Organization

Dental Health Alliance (DHA) specializes in providing access to dental health care providers for insurance companies, employer groups, third party administrators, associations and other defined groups. They are committed to delivering outstanding service and customer satisfaction to clients, participating dentists and individual members. DHA's vision is based upon the best features of today's managed dental programs, with the objective of reducing cost and significantly improving dental benefits without compromising the quality of the dentist/patient relationship. Choice is important to members. Using the DHA network will give members the benefit of greater discounts by using network dentists or the flexibility of using the dentist of their choice. DHA does not require the employer to change their benefit plan. The only requirement is the network must be identified on the ID card.

CONNECTION Dental

CONNECTION Dental is one of the largest independent dental networks in the nation, with more than 27,000 dentists practicing in more than 36,000 office locations throughout the United States. CONNECTION Dental is offered by PPO USA, a subsidiary of Government Employees Hospital Association (GEHA), which originally developed the CONNECTION Dental network for the 500,000 federal employees and dependents enrolled in GEHA's health plan.

The advantage of using CONNECTION Dental's network is employers can design the program to meet their specific needs. CONNECTION Dental does not require the employer to change their benefit plan. The only requirement is CONNECTION Dental's logo and eligibility information be placed on plan participants' identification cards. This allows a CONNECTION Dental dentist to identify the participant as a network affiliate and verify their eligibility.
