CLINIC SERVICES

With your HealthSmart Primary Care Clinic, you have a dedicated licensed medical doctor (MD) and other medical professionals who educate, manage and treat those identified in a “pre-disease” or a “high-risk” state of health. Your clinic physician manages the use of referrals to specialists, brand versus generic medications and treatment compliance. In addition, the medical staff educates members on making healthy lifestyle choices.

The clinic is open to all those covered under your group health insurance program, such as:

  • Active employees
  • COBRA participants
  • Retirees
  • Dependents

A free medication benefit in coordination with the clinic is supplemental to your prescription drug plan. However, not all medications will be available at no charge.

Hours of operation are set by the employer but typically are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic provides basic services at no cost, including basic lab work. Some of the services and conditions with which our medical staff assists include:

  • Acute injury procedures
  • Allergy, cold and sinus treatments
  • Annual physical exams
  • Asthma treatment
  • Diabetic supplies (client-specific)
  • Flu shots and immunizations
  • Generic medicines (including maintenance medications)
  • High cholesterol
  • Hypertension
  • Minor surgical procedures, such as sutures for lacerations
  • Non-specific abdominal pain
  • Non-specific chest pain
  • Physicals
  • Pre-employment drug testing
  • Pre-employment physicals and drug testing
  • Rashes
  • Review of health risk assessments (HRA) and consultation
  • Routine doctor visits and office procedures
  • Sinus and allergies
  • Sore throats, earaches, headaches, coughs
  • Strains, sprains and other musculoskeletal problems
  • Wellness assessment programs
