Thoughts from the CEO - Revisiting Our Brand Promise to Evaluate 2020 and Recover in 2021
by Phil Christianson, Chief Executive Officer
While 2020 will be remembered for grief and unbelievable challenges arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the year will also be remembered for ingenuity, innovation, resolve, and courage. As we face 2021 with renewed hope, I would like to circle back to our Brand Promise as the foundation upon which we built a successful year and upon which we will construct an outstanding 2021.
Our Brand Promise is straightforward: “We partner to provide every service that plan sponsors need to reduce healthcare costs and manage members with dignity and respect.” Two words should resonate with you: dignity and respect. We value each and every client. We want their employees and members to feel that they have been treated with dignity and respect. And we strive to provide them with cost-effective, high-quality benefits.
While our Brand Promise focuses on treating clients and members with dignity and respect, this idea has steadily permeated throughout our organization as a way of doing business. What started as a Brand Promise has matured into a company culture that has made HealthSmart a better place to work.
When we say we partner with plan sponsors, this means we take extra time to truly understand our clients and respond with best-in-class service, support, data, and results. We provide compassionate and effective care management, with special focus on the cost of specialty drugs and complex medical conditions. We innovate to deliver unique services that protect members and the bottom line.
Simply put, we improve health while reducing costs. We truly value the trust you have placed in us to serve you and your clients’ needs. Thank you for your business in 2020 and we look forward to a successful partnership in 2021. Stay safe and stay healthy.
